David Archuleta lets loose with the National Anthem before a Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers playoff game. The American Idol finalist received a loud ovation from the crowd.

Why do singers consistently change the national anthem? Isn't that like rewriting Shakespeare? I know it gets bland, but he did the vocal acrobatics/Mariah Carey deal that drives me nuts. I almost wanna scream "Don't you know the melody?!"

That was fantastic. What an amazing voice. It sounded even better in person. Why doesn't Fox, who was there filming this performance, release their footage? It would be wonderful to hear a good recording of this.

Heard David Cooks national anthem last night before the game and it was not good-I actually was embarressed for him. I just found David Archuletas anthem he sang before a jazz-laker game in May on You Tube and it was awsome!!!!!!! His voice is so pure!!! I can't wait for D.A. to put out some awsome music for us fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!
