Michael Sarver works on an oil rig. It's ranked as the fifth most dangerous job in the world.
He was voted into the finals of season eight after the first night of semifinal auditions.
Sarver is married with two children. He plays the piano, drums and guitar and hails from Jasper, Texas.
The 27-year old first tried out for the show in Phoenix, Arizona.

I have been voting for Michael and did a lot of praying last night while he was waiting. He is very good in my opinion and reminds me of David Phelps(Gospel singer).I live in Sulphur, Louisiana,where I understand, he is from. Good luck Michael.

i cant believe he went home! he was my favorite singer this season.he shouldnt have went home! i thamk the girl with the tatoo on her arm should have went cuz he is much better than her!!!!!
