Katharine McPhee recently talked to MTV about her first starring movie role in I Know What Boys Like.

“This is very different,” said McPhee, looking around a set that included Anna Faris, Colin Hanks, Emma Stone and Rumer Willis. “I can see how people would get freaked out on sets, because there’s so many people behind the camera and you get only a few chances - depending on who the director is - to do what you have to do.”

Of course, being on the smash show that American Idol is helped McPhee adjust to the craziness and attention.

“I’ve felt really comfortable, actually,” she said.“Coming from a show that millions of people watch, it’s a lot less scary. So, I’ve had a blast. The whole [movie] experience, this whole environment, is like a family. You get to know all the faces, all the grips, all the stagehands and stuff like that.”

We have a couple new details on the wedding between Katharine McPhee and longtime boyfriend Nick Cokas.

The American Idol runner-up and her older man are reportedly planning to wed in February at a Beverly Hills, estate, according to a report in Us Weekly's October 29 issue.

"There will be many Greek elements," a source told the magazine. "She calls him her 'little Greek god.'"

Awwww.

Cokas proposed to the 23-year-old former American Idol finalist with a pink and yellow engagement ring last spring; however the pair have allegedly kept the pending nuptials secret so McPhee could focus on her career.

Atlanta Peach: You have been working with some of the best makeup artists and hairstylists in the business. Did you pick up any great beauty tips from them?
Katharine McPhee: I’ve learned a lot with makeup, but I feel like I’ve learned more with hair. I love the trick of braiding my hair and putting a flat iron through it. It makes perfect little mermaid hair. You can also braid your hair and curl the braid in a curling iron.

Q: You have become an iconic brunette; have you ever changed your hair color?
A: I’ve definitely been thinking about it. I really hope for [a] movie role in which I have to go blonde. Not platinum blonde, but I think it’d be really fun just for a couple months to kind of be a light, dirty-blonde color.

Q: Do you have a beauty ritual?
A: I really enjoy taking care of my skin. I wear sunscreen every day. I use eye cream. I love Vaseline, too. That’s one of my tricks—I’ll put Vaseline all over: under my eyes, on my face, my frown lines. And I love to put tons of moisturizer all over.

Q: Do you work out?
A: I do what I can, especially as busy as I am. Right now, I’m just working on stretching in the downtime that I have and bringing little weights with me for my arms and doing lunges. Lunges are something I can always do anywhere, so it doesn’t matter if I have a gym or not. And I do love yoga.

The 23-year-old singer - and one of our favorite American Idol contestants of all time - is engaged to her actor boyfriend Nick Cokas.

“They’re definitely engaged,” said a source on the set of McPhee's upcoming film House Bunny. “They’ve been talking about it for some time.”

Katharine McPhee is filming yet another movie. It's called "Success."

"This is a whole new beginning," she told MTV this week, speaking for the first time about the script she hopes to begin soon. "I'm scheduled to shoot [that] movie in November."

The 23-year-old American Idol runner-up is currently in L.A. finishing up work on "I Know What Boys Like," an Anna Faris comedy that will hit theaters around the middle of 2008. In that film, she'll make her movie debut as a pregnant hippie given a makeover by the "Scary Movie" star.

These days, though, McPhee already has her mind on the dramatic follow-up.

"It's darker, it's definitely hard to explain, but a specific style," she said, comparing "Success" to the output of iconic indie filmmakers like the Coen Brothers and Jim Jarmusch. "[The 'Success' script] has great writing and definitely quirky characters, really well-developed characters."

McPhee plays a "sweet, nice girl who gets the attention of this guy." There's no word, however, on who the "guy" is just yet.

Meanwhile, the singer is planning her next album.

"I'll probably be making a much different record next time around," she said. "Maybe more adult. I definitely have thoughts and ideas; maybe more like the female version of John Mayer... I haven't put much thought into it, but the wheels are turning."

We've never heard of the magazine 944 before - but we may need to go pick up a few copies of it now.

Instead, this is just a look at the fake belly Katharine McPhee will be sporting in her upcoming movie, House Bunny.

Katharine McPhee is excited about her first movie role.

She happily told People that for Adam Sandler's House Bunny she'll wear a Nicole Kidman hand-me-down. A very unique hand-me-down.

"I tried on [Knocked Up star] Katherine Heigl's belly. I tried on Nicole Kidman's belly. And they said, 'Oh, this one fits perfectly. We don't need to try any more.' I was so happy, because I didn't have to sit through hours of prosthetic fitting," the American Idol runner-up said.

"There was nothing wrong with Katherine Heigl's belly," continued McPhee. "But every stomach is different. It's light foam, but it makes you sweat. Heigl's felt funny on my stomach and sat higher. [In this project], I'm in my ninth month, so I should be hanging kind of low."

Dispelling any possible pregnancy rumors, McPhee was enjoying a glass of red wine and the company of her boyfriend, Nick Cokas.

"In Stuff magazine, they said I want to have 15 kids." She added, "I was obviously exaggerating."
