Guess this isn't really breaking news. Especially since Carrie Underwood is now dating Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford.
But in the latest issue of Women's Health, the former American Idol winner confirmed a smooch-filled past with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, while also answering a couple other questions:
On Tony Romo: âHe was not my boyfriend and we were never dating. The more I screamed âWeâre not dating!â the more headlines claimed that we were a couple or that I was crying because he was out with another girl. Weâre really good friends, we hang out a lot, and weâre close⦠well, friends smooch occasionally.â
On being a vegetarian: âThere was a traumatic incident that made me stop eating beef⦠And it hit me that these cute little animals that were running around playing would become someoneâs dinner. Eating them made me feel guilty.â
On wanting to be a news anchor: âI love being on camera. And I love knowing whatâs going on in the world. Diane Sawyer is my favorite. She never seems to lower herself to get the job done. She just always carries herself well. I really admire her.â
On her penchant for 1980s heavy metal: âI remember singing Motley Crueâs remake of âSmokinâ in the Boysâ Roomâ in front of the mirror. That was the age of the real ârock star.â I would like to have experienced that first-hand.â
Headlining a tour with Keith Urban isn't enough for Carrie Underwood.
The American Idol champion has announced the first dates of her own Carnival Ride tour. She'll be touring with special guest Josh Turner, a rising country singer.

Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford appear to be much more than a fling.
"His whole family loves her," a friend of the couple told Us Weekly. "They are really perfect for each other."
Just how close is this couple? After the American Idol winner spent Thanksgiving with the Gossip Girl star at his parents' home in Dallas, she joined his relatives on part of her Christmas vacation, too.
"They spent Christmas together and had a wonderful time," a source reported.
Underwood, meanwhile, has no regrets about her July split from Tony Romo, the tabloid also said.
"She thanks her lucky stars she isn't with Tony anymore!" said a source. "She thinks it's a joke he's with Jessica Simpson and sees him as a player. Carrie and Chace call him 'the player' and Jessica 'the ditz.'"
It's hard to argue with those assessments, isn't it?
Carrie Underwood and Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus will help celebrate the new year on December 31 by joining an American tradition:
They'll perform live from Times Square as part of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
The Jonas Brothers will also be on hand for the event that's hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest.

A few months after Carrie Underwood was rumored to be dating Tony Romo, the American Idol champion shows up for an NHL contest.

Carrie Underwood may have natural singing ability, but it takes a bit of OCD for her to keep in such great shape.
"I'm slightly obsessive-compulsive about what I eat, more than I should be. I write down everything I eat," the American Idol champ dishes in Glamour magazine's January issue. "I started doing it last year. And in the last year is when I've gotten more healthy and lost weight."
When it comes to make up, the lovely, talented singer also takes great pains to look good:
"I have a giant makeup case, more makeup than any girl should have in her lifetime," she said.

American Idol fever was boiling at the 35th Annual American Music Awards last night.
While the striking writers left four-time host Jimmy Kimmel to make up his own jokes, American Idol alum Carrie Underwood, coming off her wins at the Country Music Association Awards earlier this month, picked up three more trophies.
"This is one heck of a night," she gushed, accepting the award for favorite country album. She also won favorite country female artist and an audience text-in award for favorite artist.
Chris Daughtry, the other nominated American Idol, joined his eponymous band, Daughtry, at the podium three times as they won favorite pop-rock album for Daughtry, as well as breakthrough artist and adult contemporary artist.
"Wow. I can't believe we're in the category with Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park. It's pretty awesome," Daughtry said.
