Interesting that the two final contestants were so very different. Kris is the boy next door and Adam is the God up in the sky. I think he scared America shitless and we didn't have the balls to let such a giant win the competition. He is going to rocket without American Idol, so kudos to Kris, because he needed the win, whereas Adam is a rock star with just one note and look from those baby blues. He's amazing!!

I’m a mother and a devout Christian, too. As TV viewer, I recognize that American Idol is a singing talent contest open to all, regardless of orientation or religion. It is not supposed to be a popularity contest for class of persons in society. Among Season 8’s contenders, Adam Lambert was consistently the amazing artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. America’s vote for Kris, or America’s vote against Adam, seems to be a contemptuous hate vote against sectors of America that Adam stands for. ADAM LAMBERT DESERVED TO WIN. Even Kris Allen himself knows this in his Christian heart, so much so that as soon as he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved crown, he contrarily declared to the public that “Adam deserves this…” — righteously adhering to glaring truth and instinctively repudiating the ridiculous vote results that are far from the truth. You could actually count the seconds before perplexed Kris acquiesced and finally received the crown, but only after Adam graciously approached to show him support. Adam Lambert is the true winner! What is wrong with America? Or what is wrong with this American Idol TV show?

I have to add this because I live in Arkansas and for the record I LOVE Adam the whole way I was an adam fan and will always be voting for Kris just because we live in the same state??? that to me is really ridiculous, I watched part of idol tonight like I don't know 10 or 15 minutes before the finale began and they asked Antonio Sabato Jr( who had his adorable daughter with him) who he liked/thought might win and he said ADAM and then the guy asking him ( not meant to sound snobby or rude but ) I have no clue who the dude was they said he had been a former idol contestant * shrug* beats me but anyway after anyone answered with " Adam" he was quick to jump in and say " but Kris really stepped it up though right" I get it ok job security/being unbiased whatever but anyway. Oh btw was it just me it did it almost seem like Seacrest was for Kris? I don't know for sure obviously just an observation BUT the last few times when Adam was ( shockingly) revealed in the bottom three, and Ryan sent Kris to the safety couch first ( and he knows the results before the show if you watch E! they showed the goings on before the show etc and he said that the cameras had to go ( from his dressing room) because they were there with the results and they had to " go over" them. so like I said just an odd observation and also usually when they have a former contestant/winner there and present them with the "platinum" record thing or whatever the person that brings it out works for the show I seem to remember Clive Davis presenting it at least once but this year when presenting Chris Daughtry Ryan called on Kris Allen. I don't know things just didn't add up to me. Adam was the best hands down, yes there were other people this season and had talent ( love Allison for one) but while most of them stand out in my mind, if I'm being honest if Kris had been sent home the week say Michael Sarver was.....not so sure I'd remember him by the finale much less in the years to come. I am not just picking on the guy as a bitter Adam fan nor am I trying to pick on anyone just saying to me he was forgettable. Oh btw the guy who I couldn't remember earlier...his name is Brandon Rogers( had to look it up was bugging me that I couldn't remember) and apparently he made the top 12 in season 6 and was eliminated so he was 12th but I really don't remember him.
so I've rambled enough more than my 2cents more like 2dimes? anyway I will buy Adam's cd the minute I can.

Come on! You want to be working in a public position or be entertaining the general public? Then google your name and check out all that comes to the surface. What's more: when you are young....THINK before you allow photos to be taken that would not be acceptable to the mainstream public - because those photos could be posted for all the world to see.
I was a avid Adam Lambert supporter....until I viewed the tongue kissing gay photos on the internet. That totally changed everything. I never voted for Adam again because I did not want him to be a role "roll" model for my children. I did not know what he may do in the future with his "in your face, mainstream America" attitude shown in those photos.

A talent like Adam is rare.I dialed for 4 hrs and got through only 9 times.I thought it must be my area so i dialed Kris once and flew on through.Im sorry but whats up with that. (Cheater cheater pumpkin eater )....AI you can kiss my big ole midwestern butt. i will never watch your show again except when Adam is a guest.Adam we love ya here in Oklahoma.ROCK ON

Who care who won? We didn't. Yes Adam was great but honestly he is better off NOT having a contract with AI so now he can do what he wants without being locked in with AI. I don't belive the cell phone rumors.
My only dissapointment is that Allison didn't come in the top two...hello did you see her with Cindy Lauper? AMAZING!!!
We all know Kris won't go far but Adam will, win or no win.
So get over it....

Oh, Chris has an uncle who is a preacher and knows Oprah...how interesting...Chris seems like a very nice guy...but there is no way in hell he even compares to Adam's talent. All the morning shows are focusing on Adam, not Chris. I feel bad for Chris. He will never be able to live up to Adam. The best thing that ever happened to Adam was him coming in second place. Chris, I'm afraid...will not be heard of in the not too distant future. He does not stand out. Homophobes and so called "God fearing Christians"..grow up and act like intelligent human beings..open up your mind.
