Nigel Lythgoe Slams Addition of Kara Dioguardi
It's nothing against Kara DioGuardi.
But former executive producer of American Idol Nigel Lythgoe says he never would have added another judge to the show's panel.
"I think she's a lovely lady, and I think she's relevant and up to date, but, personally, I would never have done it, Lythgoe told The New York Post this week.
And why is that?
"I don't like fourth judges," Lythgoe said. "I think once you've been told 'You suck,' you don't need to be told another three times."
Do you think American Idol should have added Kara DioGuardi as a judge?

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? LAST YEAR WAS BAD ENOUGH WITH THE INSTRUMNTS.
I HAVE BEEN A HUGH AMERICAN IDOL AND WATCH MY OLD TAPES OF PAST SHOWS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO KEEP WATCHING TAPES BECAUSE I WON'T BE WATCHING THE SHOW ANYMORE.
Why did you feel it was necessary to change something that wasn't broken-we liked it the way it was.I bet I'm not the only Granny who feels this way.
Believe it or not this always gave me something to look forward to next year and I couldn,t wait for it to start.(I actually feel like I've lost a good friend)
I kept up with every one of the Top 10 Contestants and still do.(At 69 I'm not too old to read the blogs or "My Space")I also bought their CD'sand many of their books.
ONE MORE THING-I always wondered why contestant would choose a certain song when, in the words of Smoky Robinson someone had "laid that song to rest" Well, I guess they didn't watch like I did.
I'm told you won't be reading this since I've reading since I've gone on so long.BUT IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER TO SAY IT ANYWAY.
