Jason Castro Eliminated on American Idol
A dreadful performance (get it?!?) spelled the end of Jason Castro on season seven of American Idol.
After being told to "pack a suitcase" by Simon Cowell after his rendition of "I Shot the Sheriff" on Tuesday night, Castro was officially eliminated last night. It came as no surprise.
When asked what happened with his final two performances, Castro said:
"Itâs just getting tough for me. I think my inexperience is coming in. This week I tried to pick two [songs] I knew and even that, I screwed it up."
We wish Jason the best. He always seemed like a nice, humble, talented young man.

Good riddance to Jason. He can go off to a Jamaican sunset and smoke his pot in peace and quiet.
Somehow for me this season fell flat. The contestants began with great talent but there was not much growth in any of them over the weeks, just same-o same-o. May be they needed more opportunities to choose the type of song they should sing.
