Simon Cowell: A Straight Botox User

Don In a candid interview with London's Daily Mail, Simon Cowell revealed the following interesting facts and responses:

He's vain!
"To be honest with you, I can't think of one person who is on TV who isn't vain. It's the nature of the beast. If you are on TV then you have a vanity, for sure. Just admit it! Why not?”

He's had Botox!
“Yes, I've had Botox, but not in an obsessive way. Then again, every guy I know who works in the city has had it now."

He's not gay!
"If I was [gay], why hide it? It's not as if the music business would be an odd place for a gay man to work. And anyway, if I was trying to hide the fact that I was gay, I would be off playing rugby every Saturday, wouldn't I?"

He doesn't want kids!
"I love kids - at least when they are old enough to talk. But my own? No. I'm terrified of the responsibility. Where would they fit in? I have to be able to fly to Los Angeles at a minute's notice."

He doesn't want to get married!
"People think there is something suspect about Terri and me. Why? Just because I don't want to get married?"

Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry Clean Up at American Music Awards

American Music Award Winner American Idol fever was boiling at the 35th Annual American Music Awards last night.

While the striking writers left four-time host Jimmy Kimmel to make up his own jokes, American Idol alum Carrie Underwood, coming off her wins at the Country Music Association Awards earlier this month, picked up three more trophies.

"This is one heck of a night," she gushed, accepting the award for favorite country album. She also won favorite country female artist and an audience text-in award for favorite artist.

Chris Daughtry, the other nominated American Idol, joined his eponymous band, Daughtry, at the podium three times as they won favorite pop-rock album for Daughtry, as well as breakthrough artist and adult contemporary artist.

"Wow. I can't believe we're in the category with Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park. It's pretty awesome," Daughtry said.

We agree. Congrats to both these amazing artists!

Katharine McPhee, Nick Cokas Excited For Wedding

Katharine McPhee, Nick Cokas PicKatharine McPhee, 23, sure is on cloud nine these days, recently showing off a ring from fiance Nick Cokas, 42, People magazine reports today.

"Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding," a source says. "She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly."

The couple met in 2005 in a theater production of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. McPhee and Cokas got engaged in September, and their union began years ago as a friendship, McPhee said.

"He took me up to my San Francisco (American Idol) auditions," she said.

"That's when the relationship blossomed. We totally fell in love."

As for their 19-year age difference, Katharine McPhee says that "was never really a concern" because the two have such a strong connection.

Nick Cokas "just makes things really fun" and "we love business. We love going to meetings together and create things together."

Case in point: the two will join forces on an independent film titled The Last Caller, in which Katharine McPhee will star and Cokas will produce!

Katharine McPhee Dishes on New Movie

Katharine McPhee recently talked to MTV about her first starring movie role in I Know What Boys Like.

“This is very different,” said McPhee, looking around a set that included Anna Faris, Colin Hanks, Emma Stone and Rumer Willis. “I can see how people would get freaked out on sets, because there’s so many people behind the camera and you get only a few chances - depending on who the director is - to do what you have to do.”

Of course, being on the smash show that American Idol is helped McPhee adjust to the craziness and attention.

“I’ve felt really comfortable, actually,” she said.“Coming from a show that millions of people watch, it’s a lot less scary. So, I’ve had a blast. The whole [movie] experience, this whole environment, is like a family. You get to know all the faces, all the grips, all the stagehands and stuff like that.”

Blake Lewis Pens Song to Natalie Portman

With his new album coming out on December 4, Blake Lewis is revealing the inspiration behind at least one song on it.

"One of my songs is based on Natalie Portman," Blake told In Touch magazine. "It's called 'Know My Name' and it's about the idea of having a celebrity crush when you see someone in a magazine and you just like her for some reason and think, 'I could be with that girl.'"

Hey, we can relate. We've seen Megan Fox nude.

Lyrics of Blake's song include: "You and me pretty girl, and a future of bliss."

Lewis Rocks!

American Idol: The DVD Experience

americanidoldvdvidegametal.jpgHey, wanna be judged by Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell after singing your own personal rendition of “A Moment Like This?”

Wanna see how you stack up against Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken and Katharine McPhee?

If so, perhaps you should invest in American Idol: Singing Competition.  This interactive DVD experience allows anyone with a DVD player to let deliver his/her version of 12 classic American Idol songs, while being judged by popular panel itself.

Here's how it works: Pop in the DVD, hook up the tuner and pick up the microphone that American Idol: Singing Competition supplies.  From there, choose any one of a dozen American Idol classics.

Using the provided microphone, belt out your personal version of the song, after which you are judged by virtual versions of Randy, Simon and Paula.  You have the option of singing karaoke style (with the words flashing across the screen) or completely by memory.

Enjoy!
